Applications are now open for ECOWILD 2025/26. You can find details of the available PhD projects here – Current Opportunities
The application process of ECOWILD involves two stages. During Stage 1, you will be asked to select up to 4 projects that you have an interest in, as well as answer some general questions, which we use to assess applications (i.e. academic quality, motivation to apply). Please note, that if you pass through Stage 1, you will only be invited to apply for projects during Stage 2, that you have already expressed an interest in during stage 1.. Therefore, think carefully before selected up to four projects that interest you.
Applications for Stage 1 close at 17:00 GMT on Thursday 9th January 2025. Any applications received after this time will not be considered.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of Stage 1 by Tuesday 14th January 2025. Those that are successful, will be invited to submit applications for up to two ECOWILD PhD projects during Stage 2 of the application process. There will be an opportunity to meet supervisory teams for the different projects (on Microsoft Teams/Zoom) between January 20th-24th, where you will be able to ask questions to the team (e.g. project specifics, location information etc). More detail will be given nearer the time to successful applicants.
